Jump to RecipeAll Natural, Real Food Fudgesicles
You guys. This recipe is AMAZING. It’s one I’ve been making for years, and I don’t know how it is that it’s taken me so long to share it with you! These fudgesicles are dairy free, sugar free, and all natural. I can’t wait to tell you how to make them.
Cool Treats on Hot Days
Many of my favorite hot foods and drinks get chilled in the summertime. Peppermint tea becomes iced, tomato soup turns into gazpacho, and baked salmon turns into salmon sushi. Desserts are no exception.
I love to cool off with these Creamy Dairy Free Fudgesicles. I take one outside, sit on the deck, and enjoy the fudgy texture that is hastened along by the hot sun. It’s super refreshing, but doesn’t give me a sugar headache or make me feel heavy and tired. That’s the beauty of these real food popsicles.

Benefits of Creamy Dairy Free Fudgesicles
These fudgesicles have three ingredients: ripe bananas, creamy peanut butter, and raw cacao powder. That’s it. And that’s all that’s needed.
Ripe bananas are high in antioxidants, easy to digest, can help ease constipation, and may even be anti-cancerous. They are also good sources of B vitamins, potassium, and tryptophan.
Cacao powder is a rich source of antioxidants. Unlike cooked, processed chocolate loaded with sugar and extra ingredients, cacao is a purer form of chocolate that is processed at a lower temperature than traditional cocoa powder so that it retains more nutritional value. Cacao can be beneficial for digestion, can lower inflammation, reduce the risk of heart disease, and reduce the risk of diabetes. And, it’s delicious.
Peanut butter is considered by some to be healthy; others not so much. I take a middle of the road approach. It is a good source of protein and fat. It adds tons of amazing flavor to foods. However, it is high fat and high calorie, so as long as I make sure I get my workouts in, I feel fine about consuming it every now and then. Note that peanuts are high histamine, so if you are histamine intolerant, it’s best to use almond butter or sunflower seed butter instead. Peanut butter has lots of micronutrients that our bodies need, including magnesium, folate, zinc, and vitamin E.

How to Make Creamy Dairy Free Fudgesicles
If you have a food processor, you can make these fudgesicles. If you don’t, you can still make a deconstructed version in the form of these Chocolate Dipped Frozen Banana Pops.
Peel your ripe bananas and place them in the food processor. If you’ve been storing up ripe bananas in the freezer, take them out 30 minutes ahead of time to soften slightly.
Add in peanut butter and cocoa powder. Blend until completely creamy.
You can fill the popsicles molds with this mixture, or you can take it one step further and alternate filling the molds with the fudgesicle mixture and extra peanut butter.
Freeze for 4 hours until firm, and you’re all set! Don’t forget to check out some of these other delicious chocolate treats below.
