Method
- Start with soaked and dehydrated walnuts (see notes below) or use raw walnuts. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and set out two large sheet pans.
- Measure just over 8 cups walnuts and pour onto the pans. Mix together remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour evenly over walnuts. Use your hands to mix it all together, ensuring that the oil mixture coats the nuts.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through. (If you start with dehydrated nuts, the baking time will be shorter; raw nuts will take longer to bake).
- Let cool on baking sheets, then divide into for quart sized bags for gifting, or store in an airtight container.
