- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Core apples and slice (if you prefer to peel the apples, do so before slicing). Place apples in casserole dish.
- Mix together coconut sugar, water, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Pour over apple slices and toss together. Cut butter into pieces and scatter on top of apples.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Apples are done when you can easily pierce them with a fork. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then puree in a food processor. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 7 days.
