Hearty Cheeseburger Salad

A delicious salad that tastes just like a cheeseburger - you won't even miss the bun! Keto, animal-based, and low FODMAP.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. bacon about 8 strips
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce about 4 cups
  • 4 oz. raw cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup fermented pickles
  • 2 tbsp mustard

Method
 

  1. Heat large skillet over medium high heat. If your beef is very lean, add 1-2 teaspoons fat. Otherwise, cook beef for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally to brown evenly. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, in a separate skillet, cook bacon over medium high heat, about 1-2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Shred or finely slice lettuce. Arrange on plates, topping with sliced pickles, beef, cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon. Drizzle mustard on top.
